Osinbajo, Chairs Committee on Herdsmen Killings
One of the outcome of the 84th National Executive Council was the appointment of a 10-man working committee to proferring solutions and timely recommendations to the incessant killings by herdsmen in affected states
The Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is heading a committee comprising of nine state governors with the responsibility of ending the herdsmen’s killings being witnessed in parts of the country among other pressing issues.
The Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting of the National Economic Council held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday presided over by Osinbajo .
Ganduje also made known the members of the committee to include governors of Kaduna, Zamfara, Taraba, Benue, Adamawa, Edo, Plateau, Oyo, and Ebonyi states.
The governor said the committee would collaborate with the Federal Government in addressing impunity regarding killings and violence.
Ganduje also assure Nigerians that the committee would work to ensure that all the perpetrators of violence were brought to book.
